In a world that can ask so much of us, our nervous systems are often left in a constant state of “on.” External pressures, busy schedules and the pace of modern life can leave us feeling tense, wired or overwhelmed.
TRE® (Tension, Stress and Trauma Releasing Exercises) creates space for release. Through gentle tremoring, the body is invited to discharge tension and return to regulation. From this place, we can settle into stillness, reconnect with ourselves, and experience a deeper sense of ease. It is a simple yet profound way to calm the nervous system and come home to the body.
It seems that today in our lives, stress, anxiety and trauma are commonplace, at home and or at work. We may not even recognise these levels of stress or how it affects us, until later on when pain, discomfort or illness arise. By practicing techniques like TRE®, we can prevent stress and tension levels from elevating to a point of chronic illness.
TRE® assists in regulating the autonomic nervous system, which in turn regulates many of our bodily functions, supporting digestion, sleep, energy levels and more.
If we can bring our nervous system into balance, we can bring our whole being into greater balance. A well regulated nervous system leads to a quieter mind, a clearer outlook on life and greater emotional resilience. TRE® is a practice for everyone and it’s a practice of personal self empowerment.
