Kirstie O’Leary. BCST

I have been a bodyworker for over 20 years and have a passion for working with the body and do so intuitively, from the heart.

I have always enjoyed the simple things in life and have always felt held and supported in nature.  It is this that inspires both my work with the body and with basket making.

Therapies

Initially I studied various forms of massage – from Ayurvedic Abhyanga to Russian Altai – my hands singing with techniques, caressing powders and oils to relax or rejuvenate muscles and beings. I continued to study other modalities and explore further into body work. I travelled to Brazil to learn Bioenergetics before I returned to England to study Craniosacral Biodynamic Therapy.  My journey continued and led me to TRE (Tension, Stress and Trauma Release Exercise).

Baskets

I have been making baskets from willow for many years, initially as a hobby and then in 2020 I dived in deeper to expand my skills, being guided by some very inspiring teachers, Hanna Van Aelst and Ane Lyngsgaard to improve my basketry skills and now I make baskets regularly  and teach basket making from my home in Devon.

My Passion

I like to offer a nourishing, relaxing space to people when they come for a treatment with me.  A space where the body can relax and feel held, allowing the tensions to release.  I can work deeply into the muscles to release tensions or I can give a more gentle, nourishing, soothing treatment.

On my basket making workshops I love to create a space that feels nourishing and held, allowing the creative energies to flow, I can guide you to make your ‘perfect’ basket or you can allow the basket to unfold as it wants to through out the day.

My Ethics

I have a strict code of confidentiality and stand by this through our sessions.

Love is all that matters. The rain falls, stars explode in silence somewhere out in the vastness of space, and here on this tiny planet someone called Earth, sometimes we meet and hold each other.”
