Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is relax” – Mark Black
- Do you hold tension or stress in your body?
- Do you have aches that are getting you down?
- Would you like to relax more?
Massage is a fantastic tool to release tension, stress and aches and to bring relaxation and nourishment to your life.
What massage do I offer?
I am trained in Ayurvedic Abhyanga, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage as well as Altai Massage (with roots in the Shamanic healing traditions of the Altai mountain region in Siberia).
I offer Ayurvedic Abhyanga, this is a massage using lots of oil and gentle yet rhythmic pressure across the body.
Altai Massage is in the style of deep tissue massage with a deep rhythmic touch.
I listen to your body, reading the signs it offers and working intuitively with a gentle sensitivity to help you unwind, let go and move into alignment as deeply as you and your body can comfortably allow.
With a combined knowledge of anatomy, physiology and these modalities, I can provide a deep, rhythmic massage where the soft tissues are manipulated and soothed with a variety of strokes and techniques appropriate to your needs, helping to release tension, stress and blockages or a more gentle and relaxing session which allows your body and mind to soften and loosen, calming the nervous system and the psyche to restore peace and harmony throughout your being.
These methods rejuvenate the body and offer deep nourishment. Massage unlocks and eases away deeply held muscle and fascial tension.
What will happen in a session?
I will take a written case history. You will then be invited to lie on a professional treatment couch, unclothed to your comfort.
I will start the massage with light touch with oils and increase the pressure as to your needs. I offer a full body massage if required with emphasis on areas of tension if needed.

Kirstie has great skills, her personal path is truthful, clear and authentic and this comes across in her being thus her work. Ayurvedic yoga massage, not only allowed my body to feel blissfully relaxed, it also felt simultaneously worked, my skin from the calamus root powder she used felt glowing afterwards. Kirstie has worked with me for years, personally and with my clients, I strongly recommend this for all.

The Profound Effects Of Massage
Research continues to show the enormous benefits of touch, which range from treating chronic diseases, neurological disorders and injuries, to alleviating the tensions of modern lifestyles. Consequently, the medical community is actively embracing bodywork, and massage is becoming an integral part of hospice care and neonatal intensive care units. Many hospitals are also incorporating on-site massage practitioners and even spas to treat post-surgery or pain patients as part of the recovery process.
